QUICK TIP
• Some materials, especially PETG and TPU, may bond more aggressively in certain conditions. Applying a thin layer of glue stick as a release layer can help protect the surface and make removal easier.

• After switching sides or replacing the build plate, it is recommended to recalibrate the Z offset and re-check bed leveling.

Best performance starts with a clean surface.

Before First Use

  • Wash the plate with warm water and mild dish soap
  • Dry completely before printing
  • Recalibrate Z offset / mesh bed leveling after installation
  • Start with a simple first-layer test print to confirm setup

Routine Cleaning

  • Use IPA for regular wipe-downs and degreasing
  • For deeper cleaning, wash with warm water and dish soap
  • Keep the surface free of skin oils, dust, and filament residue

Print Removal

  • Allow the plate to cool before removing the part
  • Flex the sheet gently to release the print
  • Avoid excessive scraping or aggressive prying whenever possible

Care Notes

  • Do not over-squish the first layer, as too much nozzle pressure may shorten surface life
  • Store the plate away from sharp tools or abrasive contact
  • Handle carefully to keep the coating in good condition

FAQ

1. Does this plate come with a magnetic sheet?

A: It depends on the variant you choose. This product is a spring steel flex plate—some versions include a magnetic sheet, some don't. If your bed isn't magnetic, you'll need to get a magnetic sheet or base separately.

2. Do I need to readjust Z offset?

A: Yes. Whenever you swap plates or flip to the other side, it's a good idea to recheck your Z-offset and/or re-run bed leveling (mesh). That little step makes a big difference for first-layer consistency.

3. Will the textured finish affect print quality?

A: Nope—it only affects the bottom surface texture. The top layers and print quality of your model won't be impacted. In fact, the textured surface often improves first-layer reliability.

4. PETG is sticking too hard—what should I do?

A: Try a thin layer of glue stick as a release barrier, reduce your first-layer squish a bit, or lower the bed temperature slightly. Any of these should make removal noticeably easier.

5. What’s the best way to clean it?

A: For daily upkeep, wipe with IPA to remove fingerprints and residue. If adhesion starts to drop, give it a deep clean with warm water and dish soap—that usually brings it right back.
